New edition of «The famous Five»

Over the last few months, our studio is illustrating a new edition of the complete collection of The Famous Five, the legendary saga by Enid Blyton, the world’s most famous writer of children’s books and author of more than 700 works.

RBA Publishing House selected us for the exciting adventure of portraying again such an icon of children’s literature for several generations, with the objective of giving The Famous Five a new personality, funnier and most up to date.

Alins Ilustracion would like to thank APIC (Catalonia’s Illustrators Professional Association) for having awarded us with the Junceda 2013 prize, in the category of textbook, to our work for the Arspire art academy in Shanghai. This is very important for us because it values our teamwork philosophy and the effort of adaptation that involves interpreting modern art classics. A perfect ending for 2013 🙂

We love Halloween!

Such a special holiday deserved a BIG illustration. In this case, neither more nor less than a poster almost one meter wide! The client, Santillana Education, asked us to illustrate a Halloween night and this was the result. Happy Halloween!

First preview of our next app

In a few days, our new app, produced by La Factoría Interactiva, is going to be available at the App Store. This app has a very attractive theme and is full of mini-games designed to play and learn. We’ll give you new details very soon.

Shop & Math now available in the App Store

You can download now our first collaboration with La Factoria d’Imatges in the world of iPhone and iPad applications. This is the Shop & Math app, which is intended for children who will learn how to count and add, while having fun playing shops.

The education sector is experiencing a real revolution thanks to the implementation in homes and schools of the iPad and other tablets. In Alins ilustración, we have started to illustrate projects specifically designed for this kind of digital platforms. The first one, in collaboration with Barcelona’s company La Factoría, is well advanced and, soon, it will be acquirable in iTunes and Google Play, the virtual stores for Apple and Android devices. Meanwhile, we are showing you these three samples.

Music, music!

One of the curriculum areas for which we have worked most is Music. Once more,Editorial Teide has chosen Sonia to illustrate a project for Primary Education.

Full double page illustrations for unit openings and illustrations of choreographies and group games are combined in this book. Here are some samples.

 

 

Feliz Año Nuevo Chino!

El día 10 de Febrero ha dado comienzo el año 4711 según el calendario chino y este año será el Año de la Serpiente. Hemos querido conmemorar esta celebración tan popular, recuperando ilustraciones de la colección «Tu zodíaco Chino» que realizamos hace ya algún tiempo para ACV Edicions y disponible en multitud de puntos de venta (por ejemplo Amazon). Cada libro recogía, por medio de anécdotas y mucho sentido del humor, la esencia de cada signo,ejemplificada a través de personajes famosos nacidos bajo cada signo zodiacal chino. Para nosotros fue todo un reto caricaturizar a cada famoso y que resultara reconocible bajo una apariencia animal. El resultado final fueron nada menos que 144 caricaturas!

El Corte Inglés publica regularmente folletos temáticos sobre líneas de producto concretas. Desde Alins ilustración hemos colaborado en un folleto especial sobre puericultura con la elaboración de ilustraciones que enmarcan los diferentes apartados presentes en la publicación.
